In Scripture
Nine gathers Scripture's harvest images: fruit borne in season, fields white for reaping, the patient husbandman waiting for rain.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
The fruit of the Spirit is ninefold — love to self-control, one harvest.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”
