The pattern of companionship and confirmation — two are better than one.
In Scripture
God sends His people in twos: the animals into the ark, the spies into Jericho, the disciples into the villages — companionship is His ordinary way of working.
“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.”
"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour."
“One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.”
Truth is established by two witnesses — two is the number of confirmation.
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Where two or three gather in His name, He is there.
